The (re) stands for Helinox’s redesigned approach to one of their most iconic chairs. This updated version of the original award-winning Chair One brings together (re)cycled fabrics, (re)purposed aluminum, and Helinox’s new (re)Tension Design to create a chair that feels better to sit in, performs better outdoors, and carries a lighter environmental footprint.
The comfort upgrade is real. A second tension line runs inside the perimeter of the seat, helping distribute your weight more evenly across the DAC aluminum frame instead of concentrating pressure in just a few spots. The result is a more supportive sit, especially when you’re settling in for more than a quick break.
The structure has been thoughtfully updated too, with redesigned nylon resin hubs for improved stability and repurposed aluminum made from factory floor scraps to help reduce waste. The Bluesign-certified recycled 300D polyester seat fabric adds durability while giving the chair a more sustainable build.
The frame also sits a little taller than the original, making it easier to get in and out, which is a small detail that feels like a big win after a long day on the water, trail, or campsite.
