Protest
Protest was born in the Netherlands in 1993 during the early days of European snowboarding. Despite coming from one of Europe’s famously flat countries, the founders built what Protest describes as Europe’s first snowboard clothing brand around a simple mission: help more people get outside and ride. The company has since expanded into a year-round sportswear brand while keeping board sports at its core.
Why we carry it at OVAP: We like Protest because it brings European styling to the mountain at an approachable price. It’s an excellent option for recreational skiers and snowboarders who want good-looking, functional outerwear without necessarily needing the most expensive technical shell on the rack.
