Please allow up to two hours for your appointment. Every foot is different, so some fittings may take less time while others require the full appointment to properly assess your feet, select the right boot and make initial adjustments.
Bring the ski socks you normally wear, along with your current ski boots if you own a pair. It is also helpful to know what skis and bindings you use, your skiing ability, the terrain you typically ski and any comfort issues you have experienced in the past.
You do not normally need to bring your skis to the initial fitting. If we need to check your new boot with your existing bindings, our team may ask you to bring your skis in for a binding compatibility check or adjustment.
Yes, if you already own ski boots, please bring them. They can tell us a lot about your current fit, wear patterns and any problems you may be experiencing. OVAP’s boot-fitting intake process specifically considers your existing boot setup as part of the assessment.
Wear one pair of thin, ski-specific socks, ideally the same socks you plan to ski in. Avoid thick socks or doubling up, as extra bulk can restrict circulation and affect how your boots fit. OVAP’s ski fit guidance recommends thin, moisture-wicking ski socks rather than cotton.
Yes. We are happy to assess and work on ski boots purchased elsewhere. Customization and modification work on those boots is charged separately and is not covered by OVAP’s fit guarantee.
Yes. Where appropriate, we can heat mold compatible ski boot liners and components to help create a more personalized fit. Not every boot or fitting requires heat molding, so your boot fitter will recommend it when it will improve the fit.
Yes. Depending on the boot construction and the location of the pressure point, our boot fitters can perform shell modifications such as punching and stretching to create additional space where it is needed.
We offer footbed and insole solutions as part of our boot-fitting process. Your fitter will assess your foot and arch and recommend additional support when it would improve comfort, stability or fit.

We strongly recommend booking an appointment. A proper boot fitting requires dedicated one-on-one time with a fitter, and appointments ensure we have enough time to assess your feet and work through the fitting process without rushing.
Yes. Properly fitted boots are just as important for younger skiers. We can fit children and junior skiers and will select boots based on their actual foot measurements rather than simply sizing up for room to grow.
Come back and see us. Ski boot fitting is often a process, and sometimes pressure points only become noticeable after a few days on snow. For boots purchased and professionally fitted through OVAP, our fit support includes follow-up adjustments to help fine-tune the fit.
Our fit guarantee applies to boots purchased through OVAP and professionally fitted by our team. We can still assess and modify boots purchased online or from another retailer, but the work is charged separately and those boots are not covered by our fit guarantee.
