OVAP’s Perfect Boot Fit or You Don’t Pay Policy
At Ottawa Valley Air Paddle, we believe a great day on snow starts with a great fitting boot. Our team is trained to deliver a precise, performance-driven fit that matches your goals, your anatomy, and your skiing style. When you book a Ski Boot Fit Assessment with us, you’re protected by our Perfect Boot Fit or You Don’t Pay policy.
Our Commitment to Your Comfort and Performance
When you trust us with your boot fit, you receive a full custom fitting experience. We assess your feet, stance, and skiing needs, then shape your boots using stretching, punching, grinding, heating, and shell modification techniques until the fit feels right.
If the boot we recommend and fit for you still isn’t working after adjustments, we’ll exchange it for another suitable model. When this happens, we refund your boot fitting fee. You only pay for the boots that work.
What’s Covered
Your boot fitting fee and all fit adjustments are fully guaranteed when:
- You purchase your ski boots at OVAP
- You complete an in store Ski Boot Fitting
- You return to us for any necessary adjustments during the season
If the recommended boot can’t be made to fit comfortably and perform properly, we will swap it for another option and refund your boot fitting fee. The goal is simple, you leave with boots that feel great and ski great.
Online Boot Purchases
We strongly recommend avoiding online boot buying. Without seeing your feet and biomechanics in person, no retailer can guarantee comfort or performance. For this reason, ski boots purchased online or from other retailers are not covered under our Perfect Boot Fit or You Don’t Pay policy.
If you bring in boots purchased elsewhere, we are happy to help with adjustments, but the service is billed at our standard rates and is not covered by the guarantee.
Fit Adjustments and Boot Exchanges
To keep the process clear and fair:
- Boots must be purchased at OVAP to qualify
- Any work completed by another boot fitter will disqualify the boots from the guarantee
- Exchanges must be completed within the same ski season as the purchase
- Only one exchange is permitted per customer
- The boot fitting fee is refunded only when we determine the original recommended boot cannot be made to work
Why This Policy Exists
Boot fitting is a hands-on craft, and your comfort matters to us. This policy reflects our confidence in our fitting process and the expertise of our team. It also protects you from the frustration of poor fits, missed ski days, and wasted money.
Because this policy provides significant added value, we do not offer price matching on ski boots.

Ottawa Valley Air Paddle Price Match Policy
At Ottawa Valley Air Paddle, we work hard to offer fair, competitive pricing on the outdoor gear you love. If you find the same item offered at a lower price by another Canadian retailer, we are happy to take a look and see if we can match it. To keep things consistent and transparent, we follow the guidelines below.
Eligibility Requirements
Matching Competitors
We consider price match requests from retailers based in Canada who are authorized dealers for the brand and product in question. This includes both brick and mortar stores and established online retailers.
We do not match:
- Marketplaces such as Amazon or eBay
- Liquidators or liquidation events
- Clearance or closeout sales
- Loyalty based pricing, coupon codes, spend and get promotions, or gift with purchase offers
- Prices that violate MAP policies or clear pricing errors
Product Requirements
The item must be:
- Identical in brand, model, colour, size, and year
- New, unused, and not a demo, rental, refurbished, or floor model
- In stock and available for immediate purchase from the competitor
- Advertised with a verifiable price (ticketed, listed on the website, or in a public promotion)
Shipping Considerations
For online competitors, we include the competitor’s shipping charges when reviewing the final price.
Exclusions
We do not offer price matching on:
- Ski boots
- Products under fifty dollars
- Products discounted more than fifty percent
- Items sold out at the competitor
We also reserve the right to decline a price match if a competitor is selling below cost or offering a deal that falls far outside standard retail pricing. In those cases, we’ll encourage you to take advantage of the great find.
Price Adjustments on Previous Purchases
If an item you purchased from OVAP goes on sale within 14 days of your purchase, we will gladly issue a store credit for the difference. To keep things fair and ensure availability for all customers, the following conditions apply:
- The item must still be in stock at the time of the request
- Price adjustments are limited to one per product
- The product must be in stock in the same size and colour at OVAP
Price Adjustment Exclusions
We do not offer price adjustments for items purchased before major sale events, with the intention of adjusting the price later
How to Request a Price Match or Adjustment
Please reach out to us with a link or photo showing the competitor’s advertised price. Our team will verify the details and follow up promptly.
At OVAP, we value your business and are committed to offering fair prices and great service every day.
Warranties
Most of the products we carry at Ottawa Valley Air Paddle include a manufacturer’s warranty that protects you against defects in materials or workmanship. Each brand has its own warranty terms, so coverage can vary from one product to another.
How to Start a Warranty Claim
If you believe your item may have a warranty issue, please reach out to us at support@ovap.ca and include the following to help us review your claim quickly:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- A clear description of the issue
- Photos that show the problem
- Your contact information
Once we receive your message, our team will review your claim and confirm whether the issue falls under the manufacturer’s warranty. We will then guide you through the next steps and handle communication with the brand whenever possible.
What Is Covered
Manufacturer warranties generally protect against defects in materials or manufacturing. If a product fails under normal use due to a defect, it is usually eligible for repair or replacement. Processing times and outcomes are determined by the brand, but we work hard to move your claim forward and get your gear back in action.
What Is Not Covered
Warranty programs do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Accidental damage
- Damage caused by misuse or neglect
- Modifications or alterations to the product
If the issue falls outside warranty coverage, we can still provide guidance on repairs or replacement options.
Shipping Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for any shipping charges required to send an item in for warranty evaluation. Some manufacturers may cover return shipping once the claim is approved, while others may not. We will let you know what to expect based on the brand.
Our Commitment
We want you to feel confident in every purchase, and we are here to support you through the warranty process whenever needed. If you have questions about the coverage for a specific product, contact us online or visit the store. Our team is always happy to help you understand your options and keep you enjoying the outdoors.
