Bootcap 2.5 Ski Boot Toe Insulators
Cold toes end more ski days than tired legs. Bootcap is a foam cap that sticks to the outside of your ski boot's toe box and holds the warmth in. No batteries, no charging, no apps.
A ski boot's hard plastic shell is a poor insulator, and your toes feel it first. Bootcap adds closed-cell EVA foam insulation right over the toe box, on the outside of the shell, so the fit of your boot doesn't change. Bootcap rates it at up to 11 °C (20 °F) warmer, and it's field-tested down to -34 °C (-30 °F).
What you'll love on the hill
- Warmer toes with nothing to power. No batteries to charge the night before, and nothing that dies at 2 p.m.
- Your boot fits exactly the same, because the insulation sits outside the shell instead of crowding the liner.
- Stays put, even on hard bootpacks. The tapered bottom edge blends into the shape of the boot.
- Ski, walk, stand in the lift line and ride the chair as usual. It won't get in the way when you adjust your buckles.
- Pairs well with boot heaters. The foam helps hold in the warmth they make.
- Easy to install. The adhesive strips go on without buckling, and the strong paper backing won't tear as you peel it.
Fit note: One size fits all adult ski boots. The caps are left and right specific (°bootcap logo on the right boot, spoke logo on the left). They sit above the toe lip where your binding grips the boot, so your bindings still work properly. Use the spacing jig and follow Bootcap's installation instructions to keep that area clear.
