Your Adventure Awaits:

As a Paddling Guide, you'll be the captain of our guest's outdoor experiences, leading them through scenic routes and ensuring a safe and memorable journey. Your knowledge of local waters, passion for storytelling, and ability to cater to various skill levels will make each trip a unique adventure.

At our Demo Centre, you'll inspire customers to dive into paddling, while showcasing the boats we have to offer and helping customers choose the appropriate boat that suits their needs and specifications.

Expect to spend 1-4 of your weekly shifts outdoors, with the rest of your full-time schedule based at our retail location in downtown Arnprior. You'll help customers navigate our wide range of products, ensuring they have everything they need for their next adventure.

 

We're Searching for Someone Who:

  • Has a genuine love for paddling and the great outdoors.
  • Boasts strong communication skills and a talent for engaging storytelling.
  • Is a certified paddling guide or has significant experience in water sports.
  • Enjoys working with people and excels in a customer service environment.
  • Is flexible and adaptable and can easily switch between guiding and selling.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Must have strong swimming ability
  • Experience leading outdoor tours
  • Valid (G) driver's license
  • A working vehicle to travel to and from working locations
  • Must be friendly and outgoing and have strong communication skills
  • Paddling instructor certifications are an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of the outdoors and leading brands is considered an asset
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs
  • Experience with kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and/or canoes
  • Ability to share product knowledge and industry-leading advice on gear, including your recommendations.
