How the OVAP Kids Trade In Program works
On skis and snowboards purchased from OVAP:
After one season, trade in your child’s skis or snowboard purchased from OVAP and receive 50% back as store credit toward their next kids' setup
After two seasons, trade in your child’s skis or snowboard purchased from OVAP and receive 25% back as store credit toward their next kids' setup
On ski and snowboard boots purchased from OVAP:
• After one season, trade in your child’s boots purchased from OVAP and receive 25% back as store credit toward their next pair of kids' boots
• After two seasons, trade in your child’s boots purchased from OVAP and receive 10% back as store credit toward their next pair of kids' boots
This credit goes toward the purchase of the next size up.

Used Gear Bought Elsewhere Last Season
We know families shop in many places. If you purchased kids' gear somewhere else last season, OVAP will still welcome it into the program as long as it meets the conditions below.
Bring your skis or boots from last year and receive:
- 50% credit on qualifying skis
- 25% credit on qualifying boots
This credit can be used toward new equipment at OVAP.
Safe Disposal Credit:
If the item does not qualify due to age or condition, we will still offer ten dollars for boots and twenty dollars for skis to ensure they are safely recycled or disposed of. This helps keep unsafe gear off the hills and out of your garage.
Condition Guidelines
If an item does not qualify for the program, the Safe Disposal Credit listed above applies.
Equipment must be in safe, functional condition. Cosmetic scratches are fine. The following will reduce the credit offered:
Deep base damage
Bent edges
Severely worn toe and heel lugs on boots
Binding damage or missing parts
Our team will assess the gear on drop off and let you know the credit amount before completing the trade.
Program Requirements
To keep kids safe and ensure gear can be properly serviced, the following rules apply:
Acceptable Equipment
- Kids skis and junior all mountain skis
- Kids ski boots that can still be safely adjusted
- Equipment purchased within the last two seasons
Not Accepted
- Park skis
- Race skis
- Equipment older than two seasons
- Equipment with bindings that are expired, rusted, or no longer serviceable
- Damaged items with cracks, broken buckles, or compressed cores

No, if you purchased directly from OVAP, your purchase should be tied to your profile, and we can pull up your receipt.
Yes, our trade-in program is designed for growing kids and junior gear. Adult equipment has different needs and pricing, so it is not included at this time.
Light cosmetic wear is normal. If there is serious damage that affects safety or performance, we may not be able to offer the full trade in value. Our staff will inspect everything with you in store and explain your options.
Credit stays on your customer account and can be used for any kids' gear within your family.
No, you do not. Walk-ins are welcome, but you may want to call ahead if you are looking for some extra time with a specific staff member who can match your child to the right size and style.
