What to Expect at an OVAP Ski Demo

Our ski demos are designed to be relaxed, informative, and genuinely helpful, whether this is your first season on skis or you are fine tuning your setup.

When you arrive, look for the Ottawa Valley Air Paddle demo tent. Our team will get you checked in, review any waivers, and walk you through how the demo works.

Before you head out, we take a few minutes to understand you as a skier. We will ask about your experience level, the terrain you like to ski, and what you are hoping to get out of the demo. We confirm sizing and binding setup so you are testing skis that actually suit your body and your style.

You will head out for a few laps to get a true feel for each ski. Focus on how it turns, how stable it feels, and how confident you are at your usual pace. There is no rush. This is your time to explore what feels right. We allocate about 3 runs per set of skis.

One of the biggest advantages of a demo day is the ability to compare. Come back to the tent, tell us what you liked or did not like, and we will suggest another option based on your feedback. Many people try two or three models to really dial in their preference.

Between laps, our team is there to answer questions and offer insight. We will explain how different shapes, flex patterns, and constructions affect performance, and how those details translate to your skiing on local hills and beyond.

When you are done, we will recap what you skied and what stood out. There is no pressure to buy on the spot. You will leave with clear recommendations, notes on sizing and models, and an understanding of what would work best for you moving forward.

OVAP demo days are about confidence and clarity. Bring your questions, take your time, and enjoy the process. Our goal is for you to walk away feeling informed, supported, and excited about your next day on snow.
