E-commerce & Customer Service Coordinator

We're looking for a detail-obsessed, customer-focused coordinator to own our e-commerce operations and front-line customer experience. This role blends real Shopify administration and product management with direct customer communication across every channel we operate. It's equal parts people and process, and the person who thrives here genuinely loves both.

This is a seasonal contract primarily on weekends with the potential to extend into winter or grow into a permanent role based on performance.

Your Role:

As the E-commerce & Customer Service Coordinator, you are often the first voice our customers hear and the last detail they notice. You will manage incoming inquiries across phone, email, live chat, and social media, confidently guiding people toward the right product or tour experience.

Behind the scenes, you'll own key parts of our Shopify store: uploading and organizing products, writing and editing product descriptions, maintaining clean tagging and backend data, and keeping the store accurate and up to date. Small inconsistencies don't survive long around you.

You'll also serve as the first line of resolution when something goes sideways with a customer. You won't always have all the answers, but you'll always know how to find them.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Genuinely detail-oriented; you catch things, and you fix them
  • A clear, confident communicator by phone and in writing
  • Comfortable guiding a customer toward a purchase, not just fielding questions
  • Self-directed while working remotely, without needing daily hand-holding
  • Experienced with Shopify, or technically capable and highly motivated to get there fast
  • Interested in the outdoors and aligned with our culture and community
  • Calm and professional when a customer is frustrated
  • Passionate about the outdoors and familiar with the kinds of products and experiences we offer

Qualifications:

  • Strong written communication skills, particularly for product descriptions and customer-facing copy
  • Shopify experience is a strong asset; comfort learning it quickly is a must
  • Able to manage multiple conversations and tasks without dropping the ball
  • Available primarily on weekends, with weekday availability as workload requires - please consider this carefully before applying
  • Comfortable working remotely with occasional in-store shifts
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • comfortable using AI technology in the workplace.
