I went in for a demo of the Oru Lake, Oru Inlet and the Tucktek. The staff were so helpful and it was great to get a feel for the boats. I ended up buying a different one than I predicted, so I’m glad I did the demo. I bought the Oru Lake sport. It was so small and light when folded, and I liked the way it maneuvered. It’s simple, nothing fancy, but exactly what I was looking for.A great experience and OVAP are amazing. I will definitely be coming here anytime I have need in the future

I recently attended a demo for the ORU folding kayak and was very impressed. The session was thorough, informative, and delivered in such a friendly manner that it made the whole experience enjoyable. The easy access to the water was a big plus, allowing me to actually try the kayak on the spot — and that hands-on experience was one of the key factors in my decision to purchase. The in-store service was excellent as well, helpful and attentive throughout the process. Overall, a great experience from start to finish.

Great buying process and quick shipping. So far at loving my new Oru Inlet kayak. Sets up in less than 5 mins and tear down in even less. Tracks well, sturdy, very compact. So far it’s great!

Since getting the tucktec 2025 I have went out every weekend to explore the lakes in Banff and Kananaskis, Alberta. My previous inflatable had a puncture but there's no fear of that with Tucktec's hard shell. It is durable against the rocky lakeshores. I am female 5'2, 125lb and the kayak is super spacious for me, and i have no trouble carrying it or origami it together, only the first time was difficult. There's a lot of online tips on how to customize the kayak (add cup holder, upgrade seat, fishing set up, etc) I am very happy with the Tucktec 2025!

Love this paddle! After learning with an inflatable kayak kit, including the paddles, these were a significant upgrade.

I love that they fit inside the folded Oru Kayak! They are sturdy, light, and a breeze to use.

The staff in the OVAP store were awesome, showing me different paddles and letting me compare them, all while answering my questions.

I highly recommend both OVAP and Oru for your light weight, kayaking needs! (Free from complex storage and transport solutions!)

Oru Kayaks are a great idea, exceptionally well executed. I was looking for a second kayak, after buying an Oru Lake Sport. The Beach Sport with the new “zipper” seemed like a great product, and I don’t regret it one bit.

It is slightly more difficult to assemble than the Lake, but after a practice try with the video and manual, it’s pretty straight forward. On the water, it glides exceptionally well, and tracks great too. Once done, take down is only about 5-7 mins and it’s folded and in the car.

Love how versatile these kayaks are, great for small spaces.

As for OVAP, it’s a great, well appointed store with excellent staff. They patiently answered questions as I visited the location a few times looking and learning. While I didn’t use the trial process, I felt confident I was getting exactly what I wanted and needed. I highly recommend the store, and Oru!

I confess, I was hesitant to buy a "folding" canoe. I have a 14' aluminum canoe and thought this was some kind of gimmick. I love my aluminum canoe, but it is getting more difficult to load/unload on my truck, and this folding canoe seemed to be a perfect solution. So I came to the store (with my wife) and we checked it out. I couldn't see the DUO assembled, but the store rep (Kyle) went out of his way to show me the solo - he even took the solo to the park river and let me try it out. I was impressed. Both with the canoe stability and construction, as well as the excellent customer service we received from everyone in the store.
So we purchased the duo, and had an opportunity to try it out over the next several days. The first time assembling was quite a challenge. Frankly, the instruction booklet is useless. Even the official videos online were not much better. However, after the first 2 hour session to assemble (and an hour to disassemble) we worked it out. After 4 or 5 attempts, I can now assemble and disassemble in 7-8 minutes (each). The handling of the canoe is very similar to my aluminum canoe. It tracks very well. Is very stable and cuts through the water (almost) as well as the aluminum.
All in all, I am very impressed.
I does seem to react to a strong cross-wind more than the aluminum canoe, but even the aluminum canoe suffers from that.
Only time will tell, as far as the longevity of the canoe, and the claim of 20,000 folds, as well as for any warranty issues I may have in the future.
For now, I am a satisfied customer.

Once again, I want to comment on the staff in your store. We risked the 4 hour trip (one way) to get to Arnprior, and we were not disappointed. Your staff is friendly, courteous and they went above and beyond in helping us make a decision.

One final comment - we just returned from our camping trip (during which we purchased this folding canoe). Reviewing I your website, I noticed that this product is currently on sale, from $2,049.00 to $1,536.75. I don't know if this sale was in effect on the day of my purchase (August 6, 2025) but it would be
appreciated if we could have (or still can) take advantage of this sale price. Please let me know if there is anything you can do for me.

Received my 2025 Tucktec Pro. Can’t believe how easily it fits in the back seat of my car. Now I can explore all the lakes in and around Calgary and Banff. The videos to help with the first set up were great and now it takes less than 10 mins from car to paddling. Ottawa Valley Air Paddle made the purchase easy with a very fair shipping rate and it arrived at my door in 5 days. Loving it!

This Experience is one for the Books for sure. Well organized, very informative, great scenery, friendly staff, and money well spent.
We definitely recommend this for those family who have kids, we brought our two daughters (9,11) and it was beautiful.
