Mark your calendar for June 22nd at 11am! PaddleFest is back and BIGGER and BETTER than before!

Prepare to splash into fun at the second annual PaddleFest, returning with a ripple at the beautiful McLean Avenue Beach in Arnprior. This event offers a day where water sports enthusiasts and families alike can immerse themselves in the world of paddleboarding and kayaking. Set against the backdrop of the scenic Ottawa River and with plenty of activities and vendors set up, PaddleFest is the perfect way to kickoff your summer season. Whether you’re looking to paddle on the river, find your balance in a yoga pose on the beach, or simply enjoy good food and great music, this event brings community, sport, and relaxation together in a peaceful setting.

Location & Access

Hosted at the picturesque McLean Avenue Beach in Arnprior, you'll find ample street parking available, along with a large parking lot across the road beside the baseball diamonds. Restrooms are also conveniently located on the same side as the parking lot. The event address is 178 McLean Avenue, Arnprior.

What's Happening?

  • Try & Buy: Dive into our collection of paddleboards and kayaks, ready for you to test drive on the Ottawa River. Our expansive beachside setup includes a full lineup of kayaks, SUPs, paddles, and life jackets. Find your perfect fit and shop with us directly on the beach.
  • How to Plan Your Paddle Excursions at 11:30AM: Join us for our enlightening presentation where you'll gain essential insights into preparing for safe and enjoyable paddling adventures. We'll cover everything from the mandatory safety equipment you need on board to the appropriate attire for different weather conditions. Plus, we'll share additional tips and tidbits to help you confidently plan your next paddle outing.
  • Water Bike Races: Challenge a friend to a race on our water bikes! Experience the unique combination of cycling and paddling as you take on a one-on-one race on our stand-up paddle-bikes. Happening all day.
  • Beach Yoga at 12:30PM: Stretch and unwind with a yoga session on the beach from 12-1pm, harmonizing body and spirit by the soothing riverside. Scroll to the bottom of the page to sign up for yoga on the beach.
  • Safety & Basic Kayak Skills Presentation at 1:15PM: Brush up on water safety and general paddling techniques through our engaging workshop designed for all skill levels.
  • Guided River Paddle at 1:30PM: Sign up for an organized paddle along the Ottawa River. Enjoy a fun tour while connecting with fellow paddling enthusiasts. Scroll to the bottom of the page to sign up for our guided paddle.
  • Live Music: Groove to the tunes of Spare Change, a local band from Cobden, ON, as they deliver toe-tapping live performances throughout the day. Bring a chair to sit and enjoy the tunes!
  • Gourmet Treats: Satisfy your taste buds with an array of delectable offerings from King of Munchies, Jaydog Specialty Hot Dogs, and top it off with a treat from Fun-Days like cotton candy, popcorn, waffle sticks and more!
  • Shopping & Fun: Explore some local shop vendors, browse through an assortment of goods, and enjoy the festive atmosphere filled with upbeat music and amazing food!

The event kicks off at registration (look for the flags!). Once you are at the park, feel free to come and see us under the large tent by the beach, or wander through the vendors, grab a bite to eat, or enjoy the lively music by the musical talents of Spare Change!
Tip: bring a lawn chair to sit and enjoy the concert!

We have activities planned throughout the day including an organized paddle, water safety lesson, yoga on the beach, and a water bike race.
