Light, easily transportable, and surprisingly efficient on the water, the Oru Lake fill its promises.
I was so excited to get my kayak. I opened the box and unpacked this beautiful suitcase. Lol. I followed the instructions and with a trial and error on my part , got the kayak together. Sat in it on my living room rug and closed my eyes dreaming of the day I get to go out on the lake. A friend came over later after I had packed it all up again and I had to show her. Well it is impressive!!!! To unfold it and have a kayak and fold it up again....We had so much fun just doing that. Can't wait to get out on the lake and I will be happy to do another review then.
I finally got out to try my Oru Kayak. I am a very happy kayaker. This Kayak got me to love Kayaking again.
This kayak folds and it is easy. So easy and fast that I was up and running in about 5 mins. People who were pumping their SUPS noticed I was up and running even though they started pumping before I got to the lake. Yeah no more pumping my old inflatable. It is stable on the water and it can take some waves. What I love the most, it is so easy to get the water out of this kayak because it is so light. So easy to wipe down this kayak. Yeah it folds in a suit case and it fits so easily in the back. It was so great! My girlfriend bought one after she got tired of me waiting for her to finish pumping her kayak. I needed portability and this kayak solves it.
I received it two weeks ago and went camping last weekend and I’ve used it three days for a total of five hours kayaking and it worked just as they said it would.
Amazing kayak! For an older kayaker that likes to get on the water whenever possible, this is perfect. It is easy to transport and handles beautifully on the water. Loving it!
